Amidst all the merry making, you’ll want to get a few workouts in to make sure that your belly doesn’t start shaking like the proverbial bowl full of jelly. Everyone likes to work out in Lululemon and their special edition seasonal hoodies will make your post yoga warmup a festive occasion.
Usually you can find more interesting choices in the store, but they fly off the shelves, sometimes selling out in a single day! This is the Scuba Hoodie Special Edition available online.
Happy holiday heartrates!
If you are just joining us for the Cloud of Chaos Virtual Advent Calendar, check out days one through three here and here.
What’s Your BHAG?
It’s no secret that I’m a lululemon devotee and on more than one occasion the lululemon community has inspired me to post here at Cloud of Chaos. So when I saw this effort for June I had to jump on the bandwagon.
Mid-life crisis, existential ennui, call it what you will, but lately I’ve been feeling a bit unmoored and in search of some direction, some thing to shake things up and get me out of limbo and into LIFE, with a capital L. You’ve seen my Rouge Awakening posts – inspiration for living more consciously. But all of that inspiration could use some focus, and that’s where BHAG comes in.
What, you ask, is a BHAG? Lululemon would be happy to tell you:
A BHAG (pronounced “bee-hag”) is a big, hairy, audacious goal!
Why share your bhag?
The more you share your goals, the more likely it is you will achieve them. For the month of June we will be sharing a BHAG every day on lululemon.com. Want to share your BHAG with the world? Send your high-res photo to blogs@lululemon.com and we’ll publish a few of our favourites here on the lululemon blog.
One lululemon fan wants to own a 2 bedroom apartment by June 2012. Another will write and publish her book by December 2015.
Whether you feel like sharing with lululemon or not, what is your big, hairy, audacious goal? I’m giving this a lot of thought. When I figure it out I’ll let you know. Stay tuned…
What Color Will You Be Working?
The last few days have been so warm and sunny, Bostonians have been flocking to the outdoors, coatless and giddy for Spring. What perfect timing then that Lululemon has announced their new colors for Spring and Summer workout gear. What color will you be working as the weather gets warmer, the days grow longer and we give up our treadmills for trail heads and bring out our bicycles for that morning spin?
Will you go Savage dressed in green? A bit of Senorita on the Sidewalk? Me? I’m feeling Bubbilicious.
Don’t forget to try Lululemon’s March Challenge: The Balancing Act.
This month our monthly challenge is to capture the way you find balance in your life! Do you turn to yoga at the end of the day? Are you the one who breaks out into a dance routine at the corporate office? Or do you spend the weekend photo journaling with friends to capture the moment. We can’t wait to see how you express balance through your photo submission! Show us your balancing act!
Be Ready for Anything Challenge #6
Lululemon’s Be Ready for Anything Challenge #6 is to create your own yoga pose and to teach it to five people. I’m sure I can create my own pose – the tricky part will be to teach it to five people!
Let’s see. We could do the Martini Pose – a modification of tree pose with arms spread upward in the shape of a martini glass. The Charlie’s Angel Pose – variations on warrior pose. Or the Pirate Pose – plank, but walking.
Okay, I’ll stop now.
Be Ready for Anything Challenge: Challenge #4
Lululemon’s challenge for today: hold plank for 3 minutes!
Can you do it? Leave me a comment if you can!
Lululemon’s Be Ready For Anything Challenge
During the month of January, Lululemon had their Sweat Every Day challenge. I didn’t really manage that – unless “sweating” work crap counts, which I did manage to do most days in January.
For February, those creative peeps in Vancouver have decided to keep us on our toes with The Be Ready For Anything Challenge. Each day of the month the challenge will be different and you play along by posting a photo of yourself doing the challenge to the Lululemon Facebook wall or Flickr monthly challenge photo pool.
Following them on Facebook or Twitter is the easiest way to find out what the daily challenge is. They also have a CGSE (short for Cool Global Sporting Event) website that tells you. (I love Lululemon as much as the next rabid fan, but I find their multifarious digital presences a bit confusing and hard to navigate – like certain sorts of yoga – but I digress.)

Today, it’s do a yoga pose with a police officer.
Um, right. Assuming that I was actually prepared to be appropriately photographed wearing Lululemon, which I am not, I can see myself tracking down a Boston police officer, persuading him to stand there while I get myself into tree or warrior pose – either of which at least allow me to keep my hands off the snow-covered ground – and managing to get a passerby to take a photo of us with my iPhone without actually stealing it. I suppose I could enlist the help of a non-iPhone-stealing friend, but that makes the whole endeavor even more complicated. I guess they don’t call it a challenge for nothing.
Let’s see what tomorrow brings, shall we?

My name is Angela Eloise and I am a freelance writer. That sounds as if I am copping to an addiction. I am. In addition to writing this blog, I also write a column about social media and I am at work on a series of essays that I hope to see in print some day. Cloud of Chaos was born from my desire to dance with the absurdity of life, to create a space where I could write and share all of the gorgeous, fun, snarky deliciousness I find spinning around me every day. What does a spinning cloud of chaos have to do with writing? Everything, as it turns out.
