Wearing Your Heart Wherever You Want
I hate Vegas but I love hearts. (Alex Woo Little Big Vegas Heart.)
We all know why there is so much heart-shaped jewelry around on Valentine’s Day. Not everyone has the dough for diamonds. But who’s to say that only puppy-eyed college boys and haggard husbands destined for Hallmark prescribed dates are the ones who should be interested in bling that beats? Or that we have to limit the wearing of it to Valentine’s Day even? Continue Reading

CommentThe Boy I Want for Valentine’s Day
The first time I ever saw this wine in my favorite neighborhood wine shop, it was described to me as love in a bottle. I’d say it’s pretty damn close. I certainly loved it. And what better name for a bottle of love than The Boy? Continue Reading
Owning Up to My Bride Gene

Perhaps more significantly though, Pink is the color of universal love. Continue Reading
Love Letters: Out of the Envelope

Vermeer captured for all eternity the flush on a recipient maiden’s cheek. And for floral facility with language, few could beat the Victorians. Continue Reading
Seven Day Itch
No, I’m not talking about an STD; I’m referring to the last few days leading up to Valentine’s Day that have everyone from the swooningist romantic to the most hardened cynic squirming with some combination of anticipation and dread. (While I’m quite sure that a few people would actually prefer enduring the former, this is not an appropriate Valentine’s Day gift – just sayin’). Continue Reading

My name is Angela Eloise and I am a freelance writer. I recently moved to Seattle because I wanted a better home base to support my creative goals. And my shaman told me to. Cloud of Chaos was born from my desire to dance with the absurdity of life, to create a space where I could write and share all of the gorgeous, fun, snarky deliciousness I find spinning around me every day. What does a spinning cloud of chaos have to do with writing? Everything, as it turns out.
