The buckle on the right boot snapped in half (who knew that metal could DO that?). I wore them so much I wore them out. Perhaps there is hope that, in the hands of a particularly skilled cobbler, they can be restored to duty, but in my grief over the loss of my most beloved footwear, I went in search of something to fill the void.
