CommentA Writer Suits Up
There’s an axiom that says you should dress for the job you want. This is usually dictated to corporate types who aspire to a position that comes with a big title and a corner office. But what if the job you want is “published author whose work appears regularly in awesome magazines and who is currently on a book tour?” Continue Reading
Helena Bonham Carter, Sartorial Iconoclast
Among all the buzz after last night’s Golden Globes red carpet spectacle, there is a surprising lack of commentary about Helena Bonham Carter’s rather interesting ensemble, complete with mismatched shoes. Perhaps because everyone is at a loss for words. Of course she is popping up on worst-dressed lists – she often does – but even though the Huffington Post included her on theirs they did have this to say: “And then there’s Helena Bonham Carter who clearly doesn’t give a damn, and we actually respect that.” Continue Reading
Hôtel, Je t’aime
Paris is my absolute favorite place on the planet. It’s been a while since my last trip and I miss it terribly, so I’ve been thinking that this Fall would be a good time to take a few days to visit. This feeling when I wake up in the morning and realize that nothing is the way I thought it was going to be and a certain Talking Heads song is playing in my head as the soundtrack to my panic attack. Continue Reading
Being Beautiful
In a recent post, The Moment explores the question of whether feminist, social theorist and existential philosopher Simone de Beauvoir was beautiful. Continue Reading

My name is Angela Eloise and I am a freelance writer. I recently moved to Seattle because I wanted a better home base to support my creative goals. And my shaman told me to. Cloud of Chaos was born from my desire to dance with the absurdity of life, to create a space where I could write and share all of the gorgeous, fun, snarky deliciousness I find spinning around me every day. What does a spinning cloud of chaos have to do with writing? Everything, as it turns out.
