Which kind of Valentine are you this year?
Design goddess and sister book junkie Erin Gates writes one of my favorite blogs, Elements of Style. Every Friday at E of S is Fashion Friday, and this week Erin is getting us ready to dress our best for the Valentine’s Day we plan to have with Fashion Friday: Be My Valentine. She shows us options for a dressy date at a fancy party or that hot new restaurant and for a casual evening at your favorite neighborhood hangout spot snogging in the corner with your honey.
But my personal favorite is the Bitter Valentine. Without giving too much away, let’s just say that this is the direction I’m leaning this year. I just love the serious hardware quality of the cuffs and the attitudinal emo blue nail polish. Have any of you noticed that the Converse All Star is making a serious comeback as hipster accessory of the moment? Maybe it never left. But the best part of this outfit are the destroyed boyfriend jeans. I mean, seriously. Hilariously ironic.
